Back On Track!

Well, I got the decals on last Friday and had the car ready on Saturday for racing at Shady Bowl.  After making adjustments between qualifications and the feature it was running great, and it felt great to be behind the wheel again!  Early in the feature the car I was behind blew its engine as we were entering turn 3.  He came up and hit me, and pushed me into the wall.  End of the night for me. Significant damage, so no more racing for a few weeks, but never fear #11 will rise again!

Ready To Test!

I know, I know, am I ever going to start racing or what?  Been battling some health problems that have set me back a lot.  The car is ready to test.  This Wednesday I'm planning on testing weather permitting.  Hopefully I'll race in a couple of weeks, as long as the decals come in and the doctors don't tell me I can't.  

Not Quite Ready Yet!

Well, so much for racing this weekend :(  The car isn't quite ready yet, still 2-3 weeks away.  After looking at Saturday's forecast and possible rain, Shadybowl might have a tough time getting the races in anyway.  That's April for you.  Looking forward to May!  I'll have another update soon!

Body Work!

Starting to get the body put on.  It takes a lot of time getting everything right and following the rules so it's all legal.  The rest of the body work will take most of April.  Still shooting for that April 28th race to start the season.  Will keep you posted!

Starting Over!

I've been busy rebuilding the car for the new season coming up!  Dropping the engine in this week.  I'm looking forward to running more races in the modified class at Shadybowl Speedway this year.  The track out there has been resurfaced and should be a lot of fun.  The season opener at the bowl is April 7th, but I won't be ready for that.  I'm aiming for the April 28th race.  I'll be sure to post more pictures of the car when I get the body on!

Ready For Racing!

Took the car up to Bear Field in Ft. Wayne, IN this past weekend for a practice run before the season starts in Toledo this weekend. Things went great at practice and my average speed was 95 mph. I'll now head up to Toledo on Friday to test and race this Saturday if the weather holds out. Took care of a few small things on the car this week, including adding decals for my sponsors. I still have room for some more though!

Ready For a Practice Run!

If the weather is good I am planning on testing the new car April 16th at Bear Field in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The first race planned is April 23rd at Toledo Speedway. Here is a pic of the car just after I put the engine in.
